Legacy Link have announced the launch of the Crispin Ellison Bursary Award. The bursary aims to further the professional development of those working or volunteering in the charity sector.
The Crispin Ellison Bursary Award is an annual award launching in January 2017, to cover the costs for two successful applicants to complete the Certificate in Charity Legacy Administration (CiCLA), plus the cost of a year’s membership of the Institute of Legacy Management (ILM).
Legacy Link Director, Ashley Rowthorn, said:
“We’re passionate about legacy giving and the difference it makes to our charity sector. So as part of our commitment to helping charities grow their legacy income, I am delighted to announce that we are launching a bursary award to fund two students through their CiCLA qualification”.
The award is named in recognition of former Legacy Link Director Crispin Ellison, who retired in May 2016 after a career spanning four decades in both legacy marketing and administration.
Crispin played an important role in the professionalisation of the legacy sector, and was recently elected as honorary President of the ILM in recognition of his services.
“I have long been passionate about the need for recognised, professional training in the legacy sector. So, I am delighted and very honoured that Legacy Link has created this bursary to help aspiring students gain the all-important ILM CiCLA qualification as a vital part of their career progression”, said Crispin.
Applications open on Monday 9th January. Full details about the Crispin Ellison Bursary Award can be found through our website www.legacy-link.co.uk/bursary.
